Yahoo's Search Marketing Program 'Ambassador' Nearing its End?

It looks like Yahoo! is all set to drop its Search Marketing Program called 'Ambassador'. According to Search Engine Roundtable, the 'Ambassador' egistration page is not accepting new member sign-ups.

At the sign up page, when a user tries to sign up via any affiliated website, the Ambassador program page shows the following results.

"Yahoo will no longer be accepting new Ambassador applications until further notice."

Yahoo! Displays Geographical Locations in Search Advertisements!

Yahoo! Seems to be following Google like a kid. Whatever Google comes up with, after some time you see Yahoo! With the same feature, just different names. As reported by the The BrandVerity Blog, Yahoo! is now displaying geographical locations in its search advertisements.

For example a search query conducted from Seattle, Washington for 'lawyers' displayed results with geographical locations at the bottom of the advertisements.

Since the successful launch of McAfee powered Yahoo's Search Scan, it was only a matter of time for something to go wrong. It seems luck just isn't going Yahoo's way.

We had informed our users yesterday, that there were numerous reports of delays in Google AdWords and Google AdSense reports which was leading to incorrect data. However, now Google says, that it has fixed the issue.

In a post on Google Groups, Stephanie explains, "Hi everyone, This reporting issue has now been fixed, so you should now see all of your missing data from yesterday in your account. (We've also reflected this update on our Known Issues page at https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=92365.) I'll leave this thread pinned to the top of this category for another day, to make sure more forum members see this update.

Google AdWords Adds 'Landing Page Load Time' as a factor for Quality Score

As it had been expected, Google has announced, that it will now be displaying load time evaluations or Landing Page Load Time on the Keyword Analysis Page. This factor will directly impact a Webmaster's 'Quality Scores'. Depending upon the loading speed of the keywords with landing pages, the Quality Scores will be determined. The slower the landing page, the lower would be the quality score and vice-versa.

According to Search Engine Roundtable, for the last 24 hours there have been numerous reports that Google has been quite slow in updating its Google AdWords and Google AdSense reports and thus these reports are generating wrong data. There are multiple threads at both Webmaster World and Google Groups with over 130 posts in Webmaster World and with about 100 posts in Google Groups.
