Ask.com Introduces Ask City

Ask.com is here with its new product - Ask City . the new product replaces Ask Local which had certain limitations. The new Ask City presents data and content from various IAC sites and third-party sources, like Citysearch, Yelp, Ticketmaster, Evite, InsiderPages, as well as number of other sites. The four content areas are: Business listings, Events, Movies and Maps & Directions.
According to comScore data: there are about 109 million out of a total Internet population of 172 million people in the U.S. who use local search and Internet yellow pages sites. The Internet is clearly playing a growing role in the lives of consumers looking for local information.
Ask.com has joined Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft and AOL for getting local roght for users and advertisers. Other than these there are several traditional media competitors for local consumer as well as advertisers use.
