According to CNet Newsblog a group of privacy advocates have asked Ask.com to make changes to the recently released askEraser so as to protect the privacy of the users better.

A letter addressed to the Ask.com Chief Executive said:

Ask.com has launched the AskEraser feature to enable searchers to delete their search activity from Ask.com's servers.

You can turn on or turn of the feature at your will.

Ask.com's help page on the feature gives the details about its functionality. The list of FAQs include:

General Information: What is AskEraser?What is search activity data?Is my search activity deleted immediately?

In the Wall Street Journal, an article titled "IAC Looks to Expand Web Presence in China" reports that Ask.com is planning to expand its presence in China within two-years.

found on either of Yahoo!, Google or MSN, as they report it.)

A thread in Digital Point forum informs that Ask.com might have undergone ranking updates.

“Ask.com only accounts for about 1-3% of the traffic on any of my sites, but I recently (in the last week) noticed a spike is rankings for keywords and indexing of pages. Is anyone else noticing this? I am hoping it will increase my traffic from Ask.com.”

Ask.com may not have the reach of Google, Yahoo! Or even LiveSearch for that matter. However, it still is crucial to make your website have a high search engine result page ranking, says Ross Dunn.
