So, here I am once again, with another edition of "Yahoo! Loses more Executives". According to TechCrunch, Yahoo! continuing on its losing streak, has lost two faithful partners in the form of Flickr founders husband & wife team of Stewart Butterfield and Caterina Fake. You might remember that, about two weeks ago I had reported the departure of Jeff Weiner (Executive VP, Network Division) along with Yahoo! Legend Jeremy Zawodny. Then again last week, I informed our readers about three more Yahoo! Executives leaving the search giant.

Flickr is considered to be one the most successful endeavors of Yahoo! Inc replacing Yahoo! Photos that was shut down in the year 2007. However, the backbone of Flickr has always been the couple Butterfield and Fake. They are the latest addition to the seemingly expanding 'Leave Yahoo!' campaign, that seems to have become the slogan for Yahoo! Executives.

Caterina Fake left on June 20th 2008 and Butterfield who is still running Flickr is scheduled to depart on July 12th 2008. The director of product management for Flickr, Kakul Srivastava will replace Stewart Butterfield as the general manager of Flickr and Sara Wood, will fill in Kakul's positions.

Flickr was created by Butterfield and Fake in the year 2004 and it began as a photo-sharing feature of a gaming project. Since then, it has progressed into one of the most admired photo-sharing websites on the Internet. Yahoo! bought Flickr for $35 million in March of 2005. As of today Flickr hosts 2 billion images.
