Google Affecting The Local India Search Market

Search engines are now focusing in the Indian market. Recently, Google launched a new local search engine for India named 'Google Local'. This launch would he a major dampener for existing local search engines like JustDial, Guruji, Laila, Dwaar or Burrp. These local search engines are considered to be possible acquisition targets for Google. The best search engine with its new local look will affect the whole market a lot.

The "Google Local' site is currently in beta format, and at http://local.google.co.in/. At the same time, http://local.google.com directs to Google Maps. This new site is not yet fully developed. One can look at the Terms and Conditions and Help links to Google Maps pages for more information.

Some days back on the occasion of India's 60th Independence Day, Google India Labs was launched. Google Local Search will be a useful tool for Indian users who are looking for local relevant information on the web. With the launch of this product, Google users can easily search for information on local businesses like restaurants, shops, and hotels and many more things. This new product of Google is an evidence of the global search giant's commitment to provide relevant information and opportunities for its innumerable Indian users.

But on the same hand, there will be a loss in business for many small organizations.
