Google Base Drops Search Box
September 21st, 2006 | 741 Views RSS Feed
Google Base Blog has announced the Redesigning of the Google Base homepage. Google has removed the search box from the Google Base home page. You can continue search from the Active Items dashboard, but for that you need to be within the Google Base home page. With this Google becomes the first search product not to feature a search box. Instead of the search box, it has added more examples of "popular and interesting item types- like car parts and filmography". Google has laid emphasis on maximizing usability by introducing the changes.
The new homepage has been launched in the United States and will be soon launched in Germany and the United Kingdom.
