Google Base To Replace Froogle
September 25th, 2006 | 694 Views RSS Feed
Froogle, will soon be substituted by Google Base as announced by Google recently. This is a good news for the retailers as they can now upload their content without being charged a penny.
"When users conduct a product search on Google.com, they will be represented with an additional search box where they can refine their search. When the user refines the search, Google takes the user to a second page, which will be filled with product results only from Google Base."
Bear Stearns says that Google told a group of eBay PowerSellers about its plans to introduce product search on Google.com during the holiday shopping season. The search results will be sourced from Google Base listings.
