Google employs its developers and millions of dollars in enabling Firefox browser with state of the art anti-phishing capability. This will protect users from online scams that steal identities among other crimes.
Google already collects an online list of phishing sites to help alert users of the Google Toolbar. The same technology will be used to provide Firefox 2.0's Safe Browsing features. Currently Firefox corners around 20% of the browser market and is steadily gaining against Internet Explorer.
In the meanwhile Microsoft is planning the Internet Explorer 7 which will be bundled with Vista. It has similar features as the Google and Firefox combination.
