Google GeoTargeted AdWords Preview Tool
September 12th, 2006 | 779 Views RSS Feed
The Inside AdWords blog recently announced new feature, that allows advertisers to see how their ads appear. You can now "preview ads and search results as they would appear on a regular Google search results page, without accruing extra impressions for your ad." By adding geographic parameters to the search result page URL, you can also view how ads would appear in other geographic locations.
To perform a test search, go to www.google.com/adpreview and enter your search term. The search results and ads
appear as they would on Google. Being a preview page the links aren't clickable. You can also refine the results page
by adding location attributes and valuesto the URL of the ad preview page. In the U.S., you can also set a target ZIP code or designated market area (DMA).
