Google Holiday Maps

Google has come out with a map-based eco-friendly travel site . Many searches link to Google Maps/Local by default. If you click on any of the cities on left, you'll see a presentation of content on a map. It's not very impressive and some functionalities might not even work as per now. But it's just an indicator. Google will certianly improve it. Hope.
The Google team has was inspired by the summer spirit. And got down to mapping holiday plans.
The result is our Summer of Green travel mashup site. We've teamed with Earth Day Network to highlight some planet-friendly travel tips for top U.S. travel destinations as well as how to use Google Maps in your daily routine to find and support green activities.

Thinking of eco-friendly travel, if anyone wantsto see the actualy locations of eco-lodges in Africa, then there's a new mashup of maps of safari lodges in Africa - just drill down through the country blurbs to get to more detailed area and eco-lodge info.
Some of the ower-level maps, like the map of Okavango Delta in Botswana also has points of interest on it.
More are to follow.
Bring onthe new release of Google maps that seems to have Africa's main roads on it!
