It seems that many Microsoft adCenter members are disgruntled with the company policies. The advertisers are being told to increase their bid prices, which of course is not well taken by the clients. Due to this some have even dropped adCenter in favor of AdWords.

However, it seems that the same thing is being done by Google as well. As even Google's AdWords representatives tell the advertisers to raise their minimum bid prices, so that they can have better traffic. And most often, they give in because they do get an increased traffic.

The subscribers are ready to shell out money for Google AdWords for Google indeed has a high traffic. Though for Microsoft adCenter they can't say that they will get as good traffic, so instead they just drop adcenter.

The bottom line with all ppc is how many quality clicks you get for your money. Google clicks for a given keyword ranges from $5 – $10, for the same keywords you have to pay $0.50 – $1.5 on Microsoft, and about $1.00 – $2.00 on Yahoo. I have a mix of the three, and get conversions from all of them an the same rate.

  2. suchmaschinenoptimierung Says:

a mix is ok – but if google and yahoo have 80 % market share – you can forgot microsoft…

  4. THEP Says:

In my experience, adCenter provides very little in terms of quality clicks and although there are some conversions, I'd hate to have to pay the bills off what MSN brings.

  5. Simone Says:

The Click Price at Google is higher, but the conversions rate too. At Yahoo I have to pay less, but dont get many visitors.

  6. Torben Says:

@ Simone: You are right. Yahoo? Who is Yahoo? For me, only Google is interessant to get visitors. Whenn I have to pay less for clicks then I earn – it´s OK for me.
