Tom Bowman, regional advertising sales director, Digital Advertising Solutions, Microsoft, talked about the future plans of Microsoft. One of such plans is to make mobile and social networking services stronger in India.

In an interview with Agencyfaqs, Tom Bowman said, “We would like to improve the connection between Live Messenger and mobile. We also want to make Live Spaces, our social networking product, stronger in India.”

The online advertising sale in India is looked after by Tom Bowman. India is already making a name in the online advertising area. It has been found in a research conducted by Microsoft that the young Indians are using digital as prime media. The portfolio will initially include MSN and Windows Live services. Eventually advertising on Office Offline, Microsoft TV, Xbox Live as well as Windows Mobile-enabled phones will also be included.

There are many factors that are helping in the improvement of digital advertising in India. According to Tom Bowman, some of the key factors are increasing Internet penetration, such as adoption of broadband and growing online advertising spends by Indian companies and India’s ministry of tourism in foreign markets.
