Yahoo! Panama is now open to new U.S. advertisers. John Slade, Yahoo!'s senior director of product management said Panama provides simplified platform for new users while retaining and building up advanced features for those already
using it. The initial sign up process is simple and asks advertisers only for minimal details so as to get campaign started.

Slade said, "We're not asking users to learn to use all the bells and whistles the first time. Our testing has shown that people are not interested in learning the full complexity right away."

New users need to provide regional targeting preferences, desired keywords, campaign budget, and ad copy for their first ad. The advertiser is required to supply a credit card in order to launch the campaign. Advertisers will be provided with advanced features with further log ins. The ad activation process has also been streamlined. However, the editorial guideline shall be maintained.
