No Directory Tag Support by Yahoo! Soon

No Yahoo! directory tag support is on the cards. Tim Mayer from Yahoo! broke the news through WebmasterWorld, saying “Yes we are working on it. Will let you know when it is ready. What do you think is the right approach a different tag or should the NOODP tag apply to both YDIR and ODP?”
Request for tag came to Yahoo! through WebmasterWorld thread and will also compliment of NOODP Tag by Yahoo!. This is a welcome news by everyone since tag will prevent display of Yahoo Directory title and description.

[…] When we last reported on 27th October, we said No Directory Tag Support by Yahoo! Soon. Since then there was no news of the same. Most of us almost forgot about the news. Tim Mayer of Yahoo! has finally broken the silence and reported that No Yahoo! Directory Tag will come this January. This tag will allow webmasters to instruct Yahoo! to refrain from using their Yahoo Directory title in the results of their searches.
