December 8th, 2006 | 1,176 Views RSS Feed
Google users in India can now directly speak to any of the advertisers found on search results page of Google through phone. This is now possible by using the click-to-call ads, an online advertising service started by Google India. These click-to-call ads are in the form of green telephone handset which the users can find besides the ad text. After the clicking the ad it will expand in a field where the user can give a phone number and after clicking the Connect For Free, the advertisers and users can have direct contact. Most attractive feature of the service is that the phone call be free of cost for the user.
Sundararaman K, head of sales, Google India, suggests that this service will be particularly beneficial to merchants and advertisers who do not have a site and by those who utilize local directories for reaching their clients.
