The much awaited WebmasterWorld PubCon 2006 started on 14th November in Las Vegas with many famous personalties of the Web world enlightening everyone with their lectures in their respective sessions. The conference was inaugurated by Brett Tabke with a short introduction followed by opening keynote by Guy Kawasaki from Garage Technology Ventures.

Guy Kawasaki earlier worked with Apple started with his experience with Apple and Steve Jobs. His keynote was quite light and shared loads of jokes. Kawasaki loves blogging and asked everyone to help boasting his Technorati ranking. He then shared the ten top things that he learned about innovation through his presentation “the Art of Innovation.”

In the Feeds, Blogs, News, and Social Search session Niall Kennedy from Technoraiti discussed about wikiepdia first and then gave a detailed lecture of web feeds. Then there was Rick Klau of Feedburner who talked about the services of Feedburner and their sales tool Steepandcheap.com . The others in the session were co-founder of Digg.com Owen Bryce and Chris Tolles of Topix.net .

The SEO and Big Search session was moderated by Joe Morin with speakers like Melanie Mitchell of AOL. There was some laughter at the conference when Joe introduced Google's Adam Lasnik as “works with some guy named Matt.”

Feeds and Other Alternative Optimization Opportunities session had speakers like SEO-PR's Greg Jarboe, Greg Hartnett from BOTW, from Stundubl.com came Todd Malicoat. There were many other sessions like Link Development and Linking Optimization, Corporate Mega Site SEO Management, Link and SEO Site Review Forum, Feeding the Engines - Writing Copy, Affiliate Strategies and Content Strategies including more with speakers from various companies. To name a few some companies were JoeBucks.com , CKMG, Best of Web.
