Intertainer, the VOD (Video on Demand) company has filed a suit against Google, Apple and Napster accusing these companies are using its patented technology to distribute digital entertainment over Internet without seeking any permission from it.

The suit filed on December 29 in Marshall federal court explains the three companies are willfully and  deliberately infringing Intertainer's  patent covering a 'digital entertainment service platform' issued in August 2005.

Intertainer is seeking cash compensation from the companies. It has also asked the federal court to pass a ruling to prevent the companies from using its technology any further. Apple and Napster have declined to comment on the suit, while a Google spokesperson, Ricardo Reyes says the company has not been served with the complaint.
