The social sites are those websites where readers have more content to add to the site then the owners themselves. There are three Web 2.0 based sites that are given proper significance by search engine marketers, namely, the bookmarking  site like del.icio.us, blog trackers and search engines like Technorite, and article recommendation site like digg.

Social bookmarking sites are for the purpose to allow people to gather their bookmarks or favorite sites  on-line so that they are accessible on any computer. These sites generates the list of all  popular websites and pages, thus generating traffic.

Blog search engines needs no introduction, at least not to the blogeers, this systems rewards sites with a large number of fresh articles. These services are mainly used by bloggers  to track articles within their field of interest.
