September 22nd, 2006 | 571 Views RSS Feed
Google has a new job opening for Webmaster Trends Analyst . The opening is aimed at helping Google monitor what webmasters are upset about in forums, conferences and other venues.

Since it's our goal to provide automated, easy-to-use tools that enable internal and external people (at varying degrees of transparency and control) to be able to diagnose and improve our crawl and indexing, we plan to harness this input in a scalable way. Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment, be quick learners and passionate about webmaster communication and ultimately providing a better search experience for Google users."
The responsibilities described are :
* Monitor webmaster issues (in various online forums, conferences, internal questions, etc.).
* Analyze data for trends.
* Formulate recommendations.
* Route issues using appropriate escalation paths.
