November 21st, 2007 | 3,581 Views RSS Feed
Not only can you look for link commands via Microsoft's LiveSearch but you can also look for competitor's backlinks. However, Karen Blakeman writes that "There is one important change to the command." Meaning that, if you have to precede both the link: and the linkdomain: commands with a plus sign. For example, to find pages that link to UnofficialSeoBlog you would type in:
+link:www.unofficialseoblog.com
To find pages that link to anywhere on the Unofficial Seo Blog web site you would type in:
+linkdomain:www.unofficialseoblog.com
"The link commands are extremely useful in
- tracking down pages or sites that are similar to one that you already have, the principle being that pages of similar content and type generally link to one another.
- It is also a great way of identifying links and networks between companies and organisations."
- In this manner, you can also find out backlinks of your competitor's.
