Yahoo! Goes Green!
May 15th, 2007 | 1,096 Views RSS Feed
Following the marketing campaign they released over a month ago, "Be a Better ________" where people had to write in about their best capabilities and how Yahoo!'s manifold services could aid them. Yahoo! took up the task on themselves and has come up with their new campaign, "Be a Better Planet".
It comes as a breather when Global Giants like Yahoo! take a sensitive step forward. The idea behind their latest campaign is for participants to First, browse Yahoo! Green and take the pledge to help lessen pollution, second, learn and share with the world about the environment and ecology through Yahoo!Answers, and thirdly plan to live a green life by performing "green" searches through Yahoo! OneSearch. The results will earn points for the participants who will receive free energy-efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs. The participants' points will be added to his or her city's overall points for a chance to win hybrid taxis for their hometown.
Now, it would be nice if others too had a similar vision as Yahoo's.
