Yahoo! India Loses Two Key Employees
March 22nd, 2007 | 1,811 Views RSS Feed
Online publishing branch of Yahoo! India is 're-crafting' its content team. Agency FAQs have reported that two of the key employees have resigned.
“This includes head of content Ajay Nambiar, who had joined Yahoo! India barely six months ago, moving here from Sify. Another senior member of the content team, Niyati Sen Gupta, head of entertainment, has also quit.”
Now it is not clear whether they were asked to resign or they left on their own. These departures could also be related to the recent controversy that surrounded Yahoo's content department.
"Yahoo!’s content division was recently embroiled in a controversy after a blogger accused the publisher of plagiarising her content on its Malayalam portal. Yahoo!, in turn, put the blame on Webdunia, their content provider for the portal."
