So now, Yahoo! Finally is paying some attention to towards Indian users. According to Barry Schwartz at Search Engine Land, Yahoo! has announced the launch of Yahoo! Glue Pages in Yahoo! India. This feature will display pages that are embedded with enhanced visual search result page for selective search queries. Search queries entered for categories such as health, sports, entertainment, travel, technology and finance will automatically trigger special 'Glue Pages'.
Search pages with the 'Glue Pages' feature will be a combination of conventional search results visible in the left column and enhanced visual search results for the same query in the middle of the result page. The visual results would mostly consist of images, videos, articles and other media as well.

According to Gopal Krishna (Head of Audience, Yahoo! India), "Searching on Glue Pages Beta will result in an experience that promises more than just web links. Users will receive more relevant, visually appealing search results from across the Web in one topical page. The new Glue Pages Beta feature for Yahoo! India Search supports our strategy to make Yahoo! the starting point on the Internet and demonstrates our commitment to provide a compelling online search experience."
It has been some time since Yahoo! had released anything for its Indian market and frankly, Yahoo! is quite behind Google who just this week announced the launch of 'Google Translate', its translation service that enables direct translation from English to Hindi.
