Yahoo! News Message Board Goes Offline
December 30th, 2006 | 101 Views RSS Feed
Bad news for the Yahoo! users! From now on they can't find the Yahoo! News Message Board in the company's site. The message board was set up in order to enable the vocal users to dominate the discussion on any news item. However, Yahoo! is replacing it with a new system.
A Yahoo! release states, 'Yahoo! News is working on new ways for readers to comment on the news and participate in a discussion around it. While we work on our new community features, the message boards that were linked from individual news articles have been taken offline.'
The company has decided to provide new discussion forums relating to news-based topics and incorporating advanced features to bring a better platform for discussion for the users.
