Things just don't seem to be going in the right direction for the Webmasters. At the end of June 2008, we had reported that Yahoo! was about to begin its 'Weather Update' for the month of June. Now this particular update was immediately followed by the Google SERP changes for July 2008.

Now via the Webmaster World, Webmasters are reporting that Yahoo! has begun an additional update, that seems to be in accordance with the Yahoo! Weather Update for June 2008. This has happened just a day after we had reported about the implications of Google SERP changes for July 2008, that the Webmasters are still facing.

Here are some excerpts from the thread at Webmaster World about the ongoing Yahoo! Update:

"The keyword I follow for real estate 80% of the sites changed today, most are now gov and org or small old sites."

"Yahoo changed today in my sector, we moved from the 3rd page to the first page. From my analysis a few days prior I think they tweaked the algorithm on template recognition."

"The first 2 are gov sites the the next 2 are yahoo sites only 2 realtors on the 1st page now."
