Yahoo!'s Sean Suchter Heading to Microsoft
November 23rd, 2008 | 801 Views RSS Feed
Whoever said that it's better to jump out of a sinking ship when you can, probably had this scenario in mind. Sean Suchter, Yahoo!'s former Vice-President of Search Technology, is heading over to Microsoft. The news was confirmed by Satya Nadella, Senior Vice-President of Portal and Advertising, Microsoft. He made the following statement:

“We are very pleased to confirm that Sean Suchter will be joining Microsoft as the GM of our Silicon Valley Search Technology Center, working on Live Search. Sean will report into Harry Shum when he starts work on December 22. We look forward to welcoming him to Microsoft at that time.”
It seems that although Ballmer is surely not anymore interested in buying Yahoo!, he sure is targeting their broken parts.
